Rates & insurance

No surprises. Here is exactly what therapy costs.

The three ways people pay

What a session costs

In network

Your co-pay

Verified through Headway before you book, so you know the number before you commit to anything.

Out of network

$150

I provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement.

Self pay

$150

Credit, debit, FSA, or HSA. No insurance involved at all, if that's what you'd rather do.

In network

Insurance I accept

  • Aetna
  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Carelon Behavioral Health
  • Cigna
  • Oscar
  • Oxford
  • UnitedHealthcare

When you book through Headway, it checks your specific plan and shows you your exact co-pay before you confirm an appointment — so you're never guessing what a session will actually cost you.

Policies

What’s included, and what happens if…

  • Session length — 50 minutes.
  • Frequency — most people start weekly, then meet less often as things settle. We decide the pace together, not on a fixed schedule.
  • Contact between sessions — secure messaging through Headway is the preferred way to reach me between sessions.
  • Late cancellations & no-shows — I ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less notice, and no-shows, are charged a $75 fee.
  • Late arrivals — you're welcome to join late, but the session still ends at its regularly scheduled time, out of respect for the client scheduled after you.
  • Sliding scale — not currently offered. If cost is a barrier, checking whether your insurance is one I'm in network with is usually the better route.

No Surprises Act

Good faith estimate

Federal law gives you the right to a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost if you're uninsured or choosing not to use insurance. That estimate is provided in writing before treatment begins, and if your actual bill comes in $400 or more over the estimate, you have the right to dispute it.

See the full Good Faith Estimate notice for the details that apply to your care.
