Who I help

Therapy for Highly Sensitive People

You feel everything at full volume. That's not a flaw to fix.

Does this sound like you?

Recognizing yourself here

  • “A room full of noise and people drains me in a way it doesn't seem to drain anyone else.”
  • “I notice things — a tone of voice, a shift in someone's mood — before anyone says a word.”
  • “People have called me 'too sensitive' my whole life, like it's something to apologize for.”
  • “I need real time alone to recover after being around people, even people I love.”
  • “Criticism sits with me for days. I know it's 'not that big a deal' and it still is, to me.”
  • “I absorb other people's emotions like they're my own, and it's exhausting.”

The work

How I approach it

High sensitivity isn’t a disorder and it isn’t something to train out of yourself. It’s a real, well-documented trait — a nervous system that processes more, notices more, and reacts more strongly to both the good and the hard parts of life. The problem usually isn’t the sensitivity itself. It’s spending years in a world, and sometimes a family, that treated it as a defect.

A lot of the people I work with in this category haven’t come in because they want to feel less — they’ve come in exhausted from fighting who they are, and from an inner critic that learned to pile on before anyone else could. We work on building a life that actually accommodates how your nervous system works, instead of one that requires you to constantly override it. That often means real boundaries, honest rest, and unlearning the idea that sensitivity is something to apologize for.

If the sensitivity is tangled up with anxiety that’s become hard to manage, anxiety therapy may be worth a look alongside this.

If you are struggling: reaching out for support can be one, small courageous step toward feeling more like yourself again.

Life can be tough, but you don't have to go it alone. Help is available.
